Job summary

Artheon is seeking a Senior Office Engineer to join our Construction/CEI team in Camden, NJ. You will oversee highway construction inspection, coordinate with contractors, and support project teams through daily reporting and data management.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in heavy highway/bridge inspection, NJDOT/NJTA project experience, and strong communication skills. This full-time on-site role requires flexibility for night shifts and weekend work, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred; NICET Level III highway construction required.
• 5+ years of experience in heavy highway/bridge construction inspection.
• Experience with NJDOT / NJTA projects.
• OSHA 10-hour safety certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors contractor operations for conformance with project plans and specifications.
• Serves as the on-site highway inspector for construction work performed by contractor and subs.
• Interacts with site supervision to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Prepares daily reports, change orders, periodic payment estimates, and quantity computations.
• Documents field results with photos and transfers data to company server.
• Discusses projects daily with project team and applies sound judgement on field activities.
• Will work night shifts and weekends, as required.
