Job summary

Rockwell Sterling seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead heavy civil transportation projects across Virginia, including roads and bridges. You will own projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality adherence while driving strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in heavy civil construction, with PM experience on roadway or bridge projects and a solid ability to read civil/structural plans.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction.
• PM experience on roadway and/or bridge projects.
• Ability to read and interpret civil/structural plans.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of roadway and bridge construction projects from start to finish.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, costs, contracts and change orders.
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals and pay applications.
• Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships.
• Monitor field operations and work with Superintendents to meet schedule and quality.
