Job summary

PRIME AE Group, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Manager – Bridges/Structural in the Richmond or Fairfax, VA offices. This senior role leads bridge projects, balancing technical oversight with strong project leadership and client management for public-sector clients, including VDOT.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality across the full project lifecycle, guiding teams and delivering precast, steel, and box girder bridge projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Active Virginia PE license required.
• 10+ years of bridge design and delivery experience with project management responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge projects for VDOT and public-sector clients, managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Serve as Project Manager or Project Engineer on bridge projects.
• Oversee staffing and workload for multi-disciplinary teams.
• Provide technical oversight for bridge analysis and design per codes and standards.
• Review design calculations, plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate geometry layout, quantity development, and design deliverables.
• Manage client communications and lead project meetings; support BD efforts.
• Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence.
• Support quality control and QA processes.
