Job summary

The Roar is seeking a Senior Bridge/Structural Project Manager in the Herndon, VA area to lead major transportation projects. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget, serve as the primary client contact, and guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality structural designs.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in bridge/structural design, a PE license, and proven PM experience. A hybrid schedule with in-office and remote days is offered, with relocation signing bonus and competitive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of bridge and structural design experience.
• Demonstrated project management experience or progression into PM role.
• Strong client-facing communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge and structural projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Serve as primary client contact and manage expectations.
• Coordinate technical resources to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Provide technical oversight and review of bridge/structural work.
• Develop and manage PM, QA, schedules, and staffing plans.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
• Manage subconsultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Communicate project status and financial performance to leadership and clients.
• Prepare invoices and progress reports; present status to stakeholders.
• Support staff development through mentorship and feedback.
• Assist with business development and client relationship building.
