Artheon in Berlin, NJ seeks an experienced Senior Construction Inspector to oversee heavy highway, bridge, and road projects for state and regional agencies. You will perform daily site inspections, material testing, and maintain logs to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.

The role requires NICET Level III, ACI/TCC/CCTC/NJSAT certifications, a 5+ year track record in heavy highway/bridge inspection, and NJDOT/NJTA project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering preferred.
• NICET Level III in Highway Construction required.
• ACI, TCC, CCTC, and NJSAT certifications required.
• 5+ years of experience in heavy highway/bridge construction inspection.
• Experience with NJDOT/NJTA projects required.
• OSHA 10-hour safety course required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors contractor operations and verifies conformance with project plans and specs.
• Acts as on-site highway inspector for construction work by contractor/subcontractors.
• Communicates with site supervision to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Prepares daily reports, change orders, payment estimates, and quantity computations.
• Documents work with photographs and maintains project records.
• Reviews technical documents and codes for compliance.
• Downloads field data and transfers to company server.
• Discusses projects with project team daily.
• Makes on-the-spot judgments on field activities.
• Night shifts and weekends may be required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
