Job summary

The candidate must have 5+ years in heavy highway/bridge inspection, NICET III, NJ-specific certifications, and a Civil Engineering background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
• NICET Level III Highway Construction certification is required.
• OSHA 10-hour safety course is required.
• 5+ years of experience in heavy highway/bridge construction inspection.
• Experience with NJDOT/NJTA projects is required.
• ACI, TCC, CCTC, and NJSAT certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors contractor operations and verifies conformance with project plans and specifications.
• On-site highway inspector for construction work by contractor and subcontractors.
• Interacts with site supervision to ensure contract compliance.
• Prepares daily reports, change orders, payment estimates, and quantity computations.
• Maintains documentation with photos and field data for project records.
• Ensures compliance with technical documents and industry standards.
