Job summary

Harbinger Motors Inc. is seeking a High voltage systems integration engineer to own the interface between power hardware and complete energy systems, including MW-scale generators and battery packs. You will lead end-to-end bring-up, architect HV interfaces, and coordinate with SCADA and vehicle networks.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Electrical systems integration and commissioning.
• Advanced level understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, CATIA, Capital.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• System commissioning: end-to-end system bring up and commissioning in test sites or field pilot sites.
• Architecture development: develop clean slate architecture for interfacing high voltage systems with field serviceable equipment, integration of protection equipment and UL/IEEE compliant standards.
• Interface & Communication Coordination: link HV components with SCADA and vehicle/grid networks using CAN, Modbus TCP, I2C, SPI.
• Test Automation & Scripting: write Python or C/C++ scripts to automate bring-up procedures and log real-time data.
• Failure & Root-Cause Analysis: diagnose and troubleshoot problems and feed data back to design teams.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with electrical hardware, systems, firmware, mechanical, and thermal engineers to meet safety standards and performance goals.
• Bring-up and integration manual: develop technical manuals for customers and internal teams.
