Job summary

Harbinger, based in Garden Grove, seeks a Staff Powertrain Engineer to lead powertrain development from concept to production launch. You will own EDUs, ICE, and Gen-sets, while guiding cross-functional teams in design, analysis, and validation.

The role demands deep knowledge of HV systems, thermal management, and manufacturing, with a track record of delivering complex powertrain projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on mechanical design.
• Strong knowledge of powertrain systems including EDUs, ICEs, and Gen-sets.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of Powertrain systems (EDUs, Gen-sets, ICE).
• Break down complex challenges and mentor junior engineers.
• Set standards and best practices for technical tasks (FEA, design guidelines).
• Support clean-sheet projects with novel solutions from first principles.
