Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque seeks a High-Risk Embedded Security Professional to support and manage special access program security operations on-site. You will work with security, cyber, and program staff to provide guidance and oversight on security matters and ensure program security is aligned with DOE/DOW requirements.

This role requires a DOE Q (or equivalent) clearance and SCI access, plus 8+ years of security experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Security, Criminology, Cyber, IT, Political Science, Sociology, Human Resources, Business/Project Management or related).
• Minimum of 8 or more years of relevant security experience.
• Ability to be on-call and hold a pager.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q (or DoW Top Secret) level security clearance and SCI access (subject to polygraph testing).

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance and adherence to applicable security policies and requirements.
• Lead internal self-assessments in high security operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide results/analysis to management personnel.
• Manage and protect classified and/or sensitive information; classification and marking adherence.
• Manage Top Secret (TS) control accountability.
• Destroy/transmit/store/reproduce classified information.
• Interpret and adhere to contract specific security requirements.
• Personnel security administration and program access request processing.
• Implement physical access controls.
• Administer security education and training.
• Assist with the development of standard operating procedures.
