Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a Cleared Senior/Principal R&D Electronics Engineer to deliver high‑assurance cryptographic systems onsite in New Mexico. You will design, analyze and test embedded hardware, work with cross‑functional teams, and support NSA/DOE certifications with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five (5) years of directly relevant experience or equivalent.
• Active US DOE-Q or DoD TS security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain an SCI clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Sigma 15 access.

Responsibilities

• Work with systems, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to realize multiple hardware products and ground stations.
• Design, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical circuits in a complex embedded system.
• Collaborate with KCNSC Global Security to manufacture, test, and troubleshoot electrical assemblies.
• Characterize custom electrical hardware against high-rigor reliability and environmental requirements.
