Job summary

Genentech is seeking a Senior HEOR Scientist to drive end-to-end Real-World Evidence generation and observational research to shape US market access and health policy strategy. You will translate complex questions into rigorous study designs and scalable analytics, collaborating with Health Economists, policy strategists, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of applied analytics/economic modeling experience or a Master's/PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing observational research and RWE analytics using claims, EHR, or patient registries.
• Proficiency in R, Python, or SQL for reproducible deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, execution, interpretation, and dissemination of retrospective observational studies.
• Analyze claims, EMR, and registry data with robust SAPs and statistical analyses.
• Apply causal inference, propensity score matching, and regression modeling to business problems.
• Develop scalable codebases and web-based tools in R, Python, SQL to standardize evidence generation.
• Incorporate automation and responsible ML/AI practices to improve speed and rigor.
• Collaborate across functions to align data-driven evidence with policy and business objectives.
