Job summary

Tempus AI is seeking a highly motivated RWE Sr. Data Scientist I to lead observational studies and derive insights from complex real-world clinical data.

You will implement advanced statistical methods, and leverage cutting-edge AI tools to scale tasks and augment insights for pharma collaborations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop methodological standards, and present results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• PhD with 2+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master’s with 4+ years.
• Expertise with observational real-world data and time-to-event analyses.
• Proficiency in R and SQL; ML and LLM-assisted workflows.
• Experience with code reviews and software engineering practices.
• Strong client-facing communication and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead RWE analyses for pharma clients translating questions into research plans.
• Derive complex real-world endpoints from clinical and molecular data.
• Contribute to methodological standards and reusable code packages.
• Incorporate AI tools and LLMs to accelerate workflows.
• Communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
