Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Newark, DE seeks a Product Control Senior Associate to support hedging analytics and balance sheet risk management within the TCIO.

You will work with front/middle office, technology and policy teams to explain hedge drivers and ensure proper valuation, booking and P&L attribution while maintaining hedge accounting compliance. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or progress toward CPA is preferred).
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience within a financial institution/markets environment and/or in public accounting.
• Working knowledge of fixed income and rates products (e.g., interest rate swaps, government/agency bonds, securitized products).
• Capable of managing individual projects and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to key stakeholders.
• High motivation, a desire to learn and ability to quickly climb the learning curve.

Responsibilities

• Interest rate risk hedging analytics support: explain drivers of hedge results and produce analyses for senior management.
• Ensure accurate valuation, booking, P&L attribution, for hedging activities and ensure hedges qualify for and are maintained under hedge accounting rules.
• Oversight of hedging related financial reporting, operational controls and documentation.
• Partner with Technology teams to streamline and improve end-to-end processes through automation and workflow redesign.
• Implementation of new hedging strategies
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and other analytical requests
