JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Product Control Senior Associate for the Hedging Product Control team within the Treasury/Chief Investment Office (TCIO). You will work with front, middle, tech and policy teams to support hedging activities across interest rate risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).
• At least 3 years’ experience within a financial institution/markets environment and/or in public accounting.
• Working knowledge of fixed income and rates products (e.g., interest rate swaps government/agency bonds, securitized products).
• Capable of managing individual projects and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to key stakeholders.
• High motivation, a desire to learn and ability to quickly climb the learning curve.
• Ability to manage tight timelines, prioritize effectively, and maintain high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Interest rate risk hedging analytics support: explain drivers of hedge results and produce related analyses for senior management.
• Ensure accurate valuation, booking, P&L attribution, for hedging activities and ensure hedges qualify for and are maintained under hedge accounting rules.
• Oversight of hedging related financial reporting, operational controls and documentation.
• Partner with Technology teams to streamline and improve the end-to-end processes through automation and workflow redesign.
• Implementation of new hedging strategies.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and other analytical requests.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Hedging Product Control team within the Treasury/Chief Investment Office (TCIO). TCIO manages the Firm’s balance sheet including its liquidity, interest rate, FX and capital risks through various investment and hedging strategies and executes market transactions using a diversified slate of fixed income, derivative, FX and credit products.

As a Product Control Senior Associate you will work closely with multiple teams across front office, middle office, technology and policy to support the firm’s structural interest rate risk management hedging activities.

Position Responsibilities:

• Interest rate risk hedging analytics support: explain drivers of hedge results (e.g., curve moves, carry/roll, DV01 changes) and produce related analyses for senior management
• Ensure accurate valuation, booking, P&L attribution, for hedging activities and ensure hedges qualify for and are maintained underhedge accounting rules
• Oversight of hedging related financial reporting, operational controls and documentation.
• Partner with Technology teams to streamline and improve the end-to-end processes through automation and workflow redesign
