Job summary

GEOMET Recycling seeks an experienced Heavy Mobile & Industrial Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain our heavy diesel and industrial equipment in Garland, Texas. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to downtime with urgency.

Applicants should have 4–5+ years hands-on experience, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of hands-on heavy diesel/heavy equipment experience.
• Experience with industrial or heavy mobile equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the job.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel-powered equipment.
• Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Performing preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
• Repairing and maintaining industrial equipment.
• Performing welding and fabrication as needed.
• Helping us maintain a safe and reliable operation.
