Job summary

1 Resource Group is seeking a Senior Equipment Coordinator for our Harrison, OH facility. You will operate heavy machinery, set up rigging systems, prepare loads, and ensure safe handling of equipment and materials throughout each job.

The role requires working outdoors in varying conditions, strict adherence to OSHA standards, and close collaboration with rigging crews and equipment operators to maintain safety, productivity, and quality on every project.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment, including exposure to rigging operations.
• Strong knowledge of crane operation hand signals.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
• Thorough understanding of rigging equipment and heavy machinery.
• Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in noisy environments.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability and willingness to learn crane operations.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 60 pounds, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to work overtime as operational needs require.
• Strong time management skills and ability to multitask.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining good attendance.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and prepare loads for safe movement and transportation.
• Set, align, and level heavy equipment and machinery.
• Select appropriate rigging gear based on load requirements.
• Prepare rigging equipment, including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts.
• Inspect rigging equipment before use to ensure safety and functionality.
• Monitor, maintain, and properly store rigging equipment.
• Maneuver loads using heavy equipment and manual methods.
• Follow client safety procedures and applicable OSHA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with rigging crews, equipment operators, and other team members.
• Dismantle rigging equipment and perform post-operation inspections.
• Complete daily equipment inspection checklists before operating machinery.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with team members and internal/external customers.
• Comply with all client policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain clean, organized, and secure work areas.
• Uphold the client's productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
