Job summary

Kokosing in Fredericktown, OH is seeking a Midsize Equipment Coordinator to support multiple construction projects by tracking equipment locations and moving gear between sites to improve utilization and cut external rentals.

You will work with the Trucking, Maintenance, and project teams, attend scheduling meetings, and maintain Equipment Schedules. A high school diploma and 5 years in construction or equipment rental are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 5 years of experience in the construction industry or construction equipment rental industry.
• Must be knowledgeable with different pieces of construction equipment and their capabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Process requests for all types of equipment needed to build projects.
• Ensure appropriate equipment is provided to projects.
• Search for alternative methods to fill needs and improve utilization.
• Coordinate with Trucking, Maintenance and project teams to schedule movements.
• Attend weekly scheduling and internal preconstruction meetings.
• Update and maintain Equipment Schedules for all projects.
• Monitor equipment utilization and reduce outside rental usage.
• Notify management of shortages or excess equipment.
• Act as liaison between field supervision and maintenance supervision.
• Monitor repair costs and capitalization potential for equipment.
• Track equipment usage weekly and verify billed hours.
• Travel as required to perform duties.
• Collaborate with department to meet equipment/material needs.
