Job summary

Power Equipment Company in Colorado is hiring a Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our service team in the field and support customers on site. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of heavy equipment, ensuring reliability and uptime for our clients.

The role requires a CDL B, a technical background in diesel/hydraulics, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety. You will work outdoors in varying conditions and may need overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical school preferred.
• Experience as Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic required.
• Must have own tools and CDL B license.
• Volvo or other dealer experience preferred.
• Familiarity with diagnostic testing equipment and maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic malfunctions on heavy equipment.
• Maintain accurate service logs and billing information for repairs.
• Overhaul and test machines to ensure operating efficiency and compliance with specs.
• Report additional work and safety hazards to the service manager.
• Perform preventative maintenance and stay updated with new models through training.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
