Job Juncture seeks a Senior Project Manager for heavy civil construction in Southern California, focusing on self-performing work across underground utilities, earthwork, paving, and structural concrete. You will lead complex projects from inception to closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, and profitability.

The role requires 10+ years in heavy civil with 5+ years in project management, and a strong background with self-performing contractors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive heavy civil construction experience.
• 5+ years of Project Management experience managing heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong background working for a self-performing heavy civil contractor.
• Experience delivering California public works, transportation, railroad, municipal, or utility infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own project financial performance including budget, revenue, gross margin, cash flow, forecasting, and profitability.
• Develop and maintain cost-to-complete forecasts and monthly financial projections.
• Coordinate with Superintendents to develop construction plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
• Identify project risks, constructability issues, scope gaps, and potential impacts.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract administration.
• Mentor junior project staff and build long-term client relationships.
