Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking a Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead highway, road, and bridge projects from planning through closeout in Virginia. You will own schedule, budget, and margins while coordinating with owners, agencies, subcontractors, and field teams.

This builder emphasizes self-perform capabilities and delivers with a strong safety and quality culture. Ideal candidates have 5–10+ years in heavy civil PM roles, a civil engineering or related degree, and experience with DOT/VDOT projects.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years managing heavy/highway, road, or bridge civil construction projects.
• Track record running medium-to-large heavy civil projects as a PM.
• Strong DOT/VDOT, roadway, bridge, grading, drainage, paving, or utility background.

Responsibilities

• Own the project from planning through closeout and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Manage schedule, budget, cost control, forecasting, change orders, documentation, and closeout.
• Serve as main contact for owners, agencies, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Lead field supervision and project engineering teams; define roles and responsibilities.
• Identify project risks early and drive solutions before issues arise.
• Protect company position on contract changes, claims, documentation, and owner communication.
• Oversee quality control by reviewing designs against principles, standards, and contracts.
• Maintain a strong safety, quality, and production culture on the project.
• Issue subcontracts and purchase orders; monitor subcontractor performance.
• Run weekly project meetings; track and report project performance to leadership.
• Submit accurate payment requisitions and escalate when needed.
