Job summary

Metric Geo seeks an accomplished Estimator to join a leading general contractor on major public works projects across highways, bridges, and transit systems. You will develop comprehensive estimates, interpret complex contract documents, and lead take-offs for unit price and lump-sum bids, leveraging Excel and HCSS to deliver accurate cost proposals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Construction Management and 10+ years of estimating experience, including work on projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field.
• 10+ years of estimating and project management experience.
• Experience estimating for heavy civil projects.
• Previous estimating on projects over $100M in value.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for bridge, highway, railway, airport, dam, tunnel, and/or transit projects.
• Read, analyze, interpret, and understand contract proposals, drawings, and specifications.
• Self-perform and/or direct others in quantity take-off and bid schedules in Excel.
• Analyze scopes of work and create unit price estimates in cost software such as HCSS.
