Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking an experienced Estimator to join a heavy civil estimating team in New Jersey. You will develop estimates for bridge, highway, railway, airport, dam, tunnel, and transit projects, reading designs and specifications to prepare comprehensive cost proposals and bid schedules.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, 10+ years of estimating experience, and a track record on projects over $100M, with strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
10+ years of relevant estimating and project management experience.
Experience estimating heavy civil projects.
Experience on projects over $100M in value.
Strong communication with owners, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Familiarity with Design-Build or CMAR is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop estimates for bridge, highway, railway, airport, dam, tunnel, and/or transit projects.
Read, analyze, interpret, and obtain a thorough understanding of contract proposals, drawings, and specifications.
Self-perform and/or direct others in quantity take-off for unit price and lump sum project bidding schedules.
Analyze scopes of work and produce unit price estimates in a project cost software program such as HCSS.
