Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil, highway, site development, or infrastructure construction.
• Experience estimating excavation, grading, utilities, drainage, paving, or roadway projects.
• Ability to independently manage complex estimates from bid review through submission.
• Thorough understanding of construction means, methods, and production rates.
• Experience using estimating software and digital takeoff platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Leadership mindset with interest in contributing beyond traditional estimating responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed cost estimates and bid submissions for heavy civil projects.
• Review plans, specifications, addenda, and contract documents to assess project requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor, and trucking costs.
• Evaluate project risks, constructability challenges, and pricing opportunities.
• Prepare bid packages, clarifications, alternates, and proposal documentation.
• Support project turnover, budgeting, and cost code development following award.
