Job summary

Trueline Talent’s client, a long-established family-owned heavy highway and civil contractor in the Northeast, seeks a Senior Estimator to join the Long Island, NY area. The role owns the estimating function, builds the department, and mentors a Junior Estimator to drive growth.

The Senior Estimator will lead estimates for NYSDOT/CTDOT projects, perform detailed takeoffs, develop pricing, and coordinate with ownership, PMs, and field teams. Hybrid flexibility and relocation options are available.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy highway/ civil estimating experience.
• Ability to own estimates from opportunity review through final submission.
• Strong experience with public infrastructure and DOT bidding.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates for heavy highway, transportation, pavement, bridge projects from initial review to final bid.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts to determine scope and requirements.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor pricing and proposals.
