Job summary

Energy Jobline is seeking a Heavy Civil Construction Estimator to join our team on large-scale infrastructure projects. You will develop accurate cost estimates for earthwork, roadways, utilities, and bridges, using quantity takeoffs and industry standards.

The role requires detailed bid analysis, subcontractor coordination, and the creation of clear, competitive proposals. Proficiency with Excel, B2W Estimate, and HCSS HeavyBid is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze project plans, specs, and site conditions to estimate quantities, labor hours, and costs.
• Experience estimating earthwork, drainage, paving, utilities, and bridges.
• Knowledge of estimating software (B2W, HCSS) and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specs to identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to obtain competitive prices and terms.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns for all elements of the project.
• Identify and mitigate risks, incorporating contingencies into estimates.
• Prepare bid proposals with schedules and technical specifications.
• Utilize estimating software to generate cost calculations and reports.
