Job summary

W3Global Inc. seeks an experienced Heavy Civil Estimator to join the estimating team under the Chief Estimator. You will prepare base estimates for public works and heavy civil projects, build crew-based cost models in HCSS HeavyBid, and create baseline CPM schedules in Primavera P6.

You will also perform quantity takeoffs and manage bid components for review. Responsibilities include bid-day support, vendor quote management, and ensuring coverage without gaps.

Qualifications

• 10 to 20 years of hands-on experience estimating heavy civil, public works, earthwork, or roadway projects.
• Solid knowledge of public bidding procedures, prevailing wage standards, agency specs, and bid workflows.

Responsibilities

• Compile full base estimates for public works, heavy civil, earthwork, and utility projects.
• Build crew-based cost models in HCSS HeavyBid with labor crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractor pricing.
• Perform digital quantity takeoffs from drawings, specs, cross-sections, and geotechnical reports.
• Solicit, organize, and scope vendor and subcontractor quotes for comprehensive coverage.
• Assist the Chief Estimator during bid-day closings with sub-scope comparisons and quote adjustments.
• Develop draft baseline CPM schedules in Primavera P6 to support bid feasibility.
