Job summary

gpac in Kansas City, MO seeks an experienced Estimator to support bidding on heavy civil construction projects, including roadways, sitework, utilities, earthwork, and related work.

You will prepare estimates, review plans, perform quantity takeoffs, and develop costs for materials, labor, and equipment while coordinating with project managers and field teams to optimize bids and manage risks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of heavy civil construction estimating experience.
• Experience with roadway, sitework, utilities, earthwork, concrete, paving or DOT projects.
• Strong understanding of costs for labor, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Experience with estimating software; HCSS HeavyBid preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
