Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a senior leader to oversee the Workforce Development Student Placement function, guiding WD programs including internships, outreach and grant-funded initiatives; lead large cross-functional projects to ensure alignment, collaboration, and efficiency.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in HR/Adult Education/Business Administration or related field, 5 years in program management and 2 years in people/program leadership, with preference for a Master's degree and grant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 5 years of experience in program management and coaching in a health care or related setting.
• 2 years of general project management experience overseeing people or programs.
• Experience with community-based programs and grant management preferred.
• Strategic planning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Internal and external groups to identify opportunities for developing workforce pipeline and growing internal talent.
• Provides oversight of the Student Placement Program to produce desired placement outcomes.
• Develops and executes strategy in conjunction with WD program managers to ensure high-quality Observations experiences for high school and post high school graduates.
• Supports onboarding and provides oversight to both non-student POI and student POI onboarding to produce desired placement outcomes.
• Provides oversight and guidance to the WD team. Evaluates effectiveness of OTM programs—with a focus on communications activities including benchmarking, monitoring and reporting results and implementing improvement measures as needed.
• Evaluates workforce programs to monitor and analyze effectiveness, completion rates, and areas of improvement; Determines and tracks success measures for the program providing monthly status updates.
• Provides guidance and strategic planning for WD's long and short-term programmatic needs to ensure alignment of OTM initiatives and Parkland system.
• Assists leadership in developing relationships with the community for implementation of new program initiatives and maintains relationships by communications, meetings, and offsite activities.
• Evaluates processes and policies and leads the plan to improve them for effectiveness, efficiency, clarity of message and operational impact.
• Serves as expert level resource for WD program managers for written documents including presentations and communication; leads development and dissemination of all WD communications.
