Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) seeks an experienced Social Work Services Manager to coordinate daily operations of the social work area, provide leadership, supervise staff and students, and ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include psychosocial screenings, care planning, discharge planning, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and community resource coordination to support patients and families.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work required.
• Six years of Social Work experience required.
• Texas State Board of Social Work licensure required; LMSW license expected; LCSW preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily operations of the assigned Social Work area.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to practitioners and students.
• Perform psychosocial screenings and assessments and implement care plans.
• Assist in discharge planning and link patients to community resources.
• Collaborate with management to ensure service coverage and efficiency.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
