Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Security Officer responsible for protecting and promoting safety at a hospital campus. The role requires leadership abilities, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant certifications.

You will monitor security systems, respond to emergencies and assist patients and staff with security needs. Qualified candidates have at least three years of security experience, English proficiency, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Licenses: Certified Healthcare Security Basic or equivalent.
• Licenses: Texas security officer license or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• May be required to carry a firearm per business need.
• CPR/Heartcode BLS CPR certification required or obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift security operations in the absence of the Lead Security Officer.
• Assist in supervising assigned personnel; conduct site post inspections and provide staff briefings.
• Perform security duties to maintain safety and respond to emergencies.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures and post orders at all times.
• Operate and monitor security equipment and systems; report failures.
• Support patient, visitor and staff needs with professional security assistance.
