Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Senior II Healthcare Auditor to lead operational audits within the Health Services Division, providing strategic insights to Internal Audit and leadership. The role emphasizes clinical operations expertise, risk management, and advisory support across enterprise initiatives.

The position is based at the Steel Tower in Pittsburgh, PA, with a hybrid work schedule allowing some days in the office and some days remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent clinical certification required.
• Demonstrated expertise in healthcare operations and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational, clinical, and regulatory audits
• Contribute to risk assessments and the annual audit plan
• Evaluate enterprise level clinical controls and governance structures
• Provide advisory support for new clinical initiatives, acquisitions, and regulatory changes
• Assist and train other auditors
• Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, Quality, and Revenue Cycle
• Present audit results to senior and executive leadership
• Identify systemic trends and surface emerging risks across multiple locations
• Use clinical operations and revenue cycle data in the audit process
• Willingness to travel, as needed
