Job summary

WSP USA in Cleveland, OH (with Columbus alternate location) is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Mechanical Engineer to lead healthcare building systems across Ohio. You will mentor teams, supervise design of HVAC, plumbing, medical gas, and central utility plants, and serve as Engineer of Record or Mechanical Discipline Lead.

This role requires a PE license, 10+ years of experience in healthcare mechanical systems, strong leadership, client relations, and the ability to travel to project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience in building systems.
• P.E. license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; Ohio preferred.
• Experience designing healthcare mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, medical gas, and building automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, coordination, and delivery of complex healthcare mechanical systems across Ohio.
• Serve as Engineer of Record or Mechanical Discipline Lead on complex projects.
• Review calculations, specifications, studies, and design documentation.
• Oversee construction administration and commissioning support.
• Mentor engineers and lead project teams across multiple offices.
• Support business development and client engagement.
