Job summary

WSP is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Electrical Engineer to lead Healthcare Projects in Ohio, including Cleveland and Columbus, with strategic influence across the Midwest. You will guide design, commissioning, and operational excellence for complex healthcare facilities.

As a senior leader, you will mentor teams, manage budgets, foster client relationships, advance business development, and ensure regulatory compliance while expanding WSP's healthcare market presence in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering; P.E. license preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience in building systems, especially healthcare.
• Ohio licensure or ability to obtain it within a reasonable period is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead healthcare electrical systems design for projects across Ohio and the Midwest.
• Review calculations, specifications, studies, and design documentation for quality.
• Oversee project budgets, staffing, schedules, scope, fees and quality objectives.
• Mentor engineers, support business development, and manage client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare design standards, codes, and safety policies.
• Provide leadership in project reviews, QA/QC, and technical excellence initiatives.
