Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia is seeking a Materials Management Specialist III to lead advanced supply chain functions, manage procurement and inventory systems, and support reporting and process improvements. The role includes acting as Buyer for non-contract items and coordinating with vendors to optimize non-contract purchases.

Candidates should have healthcare materials management experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1 year of experience may substitute.
• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare materials management or inventory experience.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Excel.
• Familiarity with automated procurement and inventory control systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced supply chain functions and procurement activities.
• Manage inventory systems and reporting; implement process improvements.
• Act as Buyer for non-contract items and services.
• Coordinate price, selection of non-contract items with vendors.
• Support MMIS, PPI purchasing, and vendor returns.
