Job summary

CHS Corporate is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel – Acquisitions & Development to provide legal counsel and strategic guidance on a diverse range of healthcare transactions and corporate matters.

This role operates with a high degree of independence, leading complex transactions and partnering with business and operational leaders to develop practical, business-oriented solutions that advance company objectives, manage risk, and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• JD required; top academic credentials preferred.
• At least six years of relevant, progressively responsible legal experience.
• Healthcare transaction experience strongly preferred.
• Active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state.

Responsibilities

• Leads acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and other strategic arrangements involving hospitals, health systems, and related entities.
• Manages transactions lifecycle including structuring, due diligence, negotiation, documentation, and closing.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams and manages outside counsel and legal spend.
• Drafts, reviews, and negotiates confidentiality agreements, LOIs, and definitive agreements.
• Advises business and operational leaders on regulatory, governance, and commercial matters.
• Researches and analyzes applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, communicating developments to stakeholders.
• Manages competing priorities and maintains accountability through completion.
• Performs other duties as assigned and ensures policy compliance.
