Job summary

Sectra is seeking an experienced Technical Engineer to support enterprise imaging systems used by hospitals across the United States. You will own troubleshooting in real-world healthcare environments, collaborating with customers and internal teams to maintain stability, security, and performance while driving improvements.

The role emphasizes deep technical problem-solving, strong communication with both technical and non-technical audiences, and a commitment to high-quality service.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in technical support, systems engineering, or a related IT role.
• Strong analytical mindset with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Solid experience with networking basics and Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Curious, self-driven, and motivated to deepen technical expertise.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge.
• Experience with healthcare IT, DICOM, HL7, SQL, cloud infrastructure, or virtualization is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support customer environments by troubleshooting complex technical issues related to enterprise imaging systems.
• Investigate system behavior through log analysis, performance review, and root-cause identification.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, security, and project teams to coordinate fixes and optimizations.
• Support customer implementations and upgrades by assisting with system configuration and integration activities.
• Work directly with hospital IT teams and clinical users to understand workflows and requirements.
• Build long-term relationships with customers as a trusted technical contact.
• Participate in after-hours support rotation once onboarded.
