Job summary

MasterApp Labs LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Healthcare Integration Developer for a hybrid contract role. You will design and implement HL7 v2 and FHIR interfaces, explore RESTful data exchanges, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet clinical data needs.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with healthcare data standards, cloud-based integration on AWS, and modern dev practices, including CI/CD, testing, and secure coding. On-site and remote collaboration are supported.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing healthcare interfaces with HL7 v2, FHIR, REST APIs, and data exchange.
• 5+ years secure portals with API integration, authentication, authorization, RBAC, testing, production support.
• 5+ years with TypeScript, JavaScript, Python.
• 3+ years implementing FHIR with US Core and HL7 IGs.
• 3+ years integrating FHIR servers/APIs and interoperability solutions.
• 3+ years mapping, transforming, validating data across HL7 v2, FHIR, and analytics data models.
• 3+ years working with SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, CVX, RxNorm.
• 3+ years implementing FHIR on AWS or similar cloud and ingest/storage/analytics platforms.
• 3+ years modern delivery practices: Git, CI/CD, unit/integration testing, code reviews, defect tracking, logging, monitoring, docs.
• 1+ year AWS HealthLake, Snowflake, eICR, public health reporting, disease surveillance, React/FastAPI/Terraform.

Responsibilities

Job Title:

Senior Healthcare Integration Developer

Location:

Austin, TX, (Hybrid)-3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Wed) required to be onsite

Key Responsibilities:

• Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
• Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system:
• Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports.
• Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program.
• Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

*The selected contractor will serve as a FHIR/HL7 development resource for the project. The successful candidate may be considered for other similar assignments if authorized through the applicable procurement and contracting process.*
