Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Methodist Hospital Stone Oak seeks a Senior HVAC Technician to oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and mentor apprentices in a hospital setting. You will manage chilled water systems and AHUs, assess life expectancy and replacement costs, and ensure compliance with safety standards and engineering practices.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required (90 grace period to complete after date of hire)
• Valid Driver's License in good standing Required
• 3 years of experience in a commercial, industrial, or healthcare environment Required

Responsibilities

• Maintain chilled water and central air handling units through regularly scheduled preventative maintenance activities
• Perform coil cleanings, filter changes, test and balance activities, sensor calibrations, and UV bulb replacements
• Lead apprentice HVAC technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial HVAC systems with pneumatic, digital, and EMS controls
• Create cost and downtime estimates for major repairs and/or equipment replacement
• Document all work and labor time using HCA Healthcare Engineering CMMS
• Communicate equipment conditions with the Director of Facility Management and other leaders
• Perform commissioning and quality control during HVAC capital reinvestment projects
