Job summary

Fremont Hospital is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Director to join our Leadership Team. Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, workers’ compensation and HRIS records in a healthcare setting.

You will ensure HR activities comply with state and federal laws and licensure requirements, while driving talent development and organizational effectiveness across the hospital’s 148 beds and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field; master’s preferred.
• Minimum 8 years HR experience, healthcare preferred; prior supervisory/management experience.
• HR certification (through HRCI or SHRM) preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; understanding of wage/salary programs, benefits, workers’ compensation, recruiting/retention, training, staff development, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment, compensation, benefits, training/orientation, employee relations, workers’ compensation and HRIS records.
• Ensure HR activities comply with state and federal laws, licensing and accreditation bodies, and facility contracts.
• Lead HR team as part of the Leadership Team reporting to the CEO.
