Job summary
Procon seeks a Senior Architect/Engineer to lead technical construction management for a healthcare modernization program in Pittsburgh, PA. You will oversee design, construction, commissioning, and closeout, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, budgets, and schedules.
The ideal candidate brings extensive healthcare/construction experience and a strong grasp of CM, coordination of building systems, QA, and project controls.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed as an architect or engineer and have a relevant engineering/architecture degree.
- Minimum six years of combined design and construction experience.
- Experience with healthcare, federal, institutional, or similarly complex projects preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead construction management and project oversight through design, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Monitor schedules, budgets, milestones, phasing, and overall progress.
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other docs.
- Perform and oversee field inspections to ensure contract, quality, and code compliance.
- Identify deficiencies, conflicts, risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, facility personnel and stakeholders.
