Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to perform sub-journeyman level work across multiple crafts. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment, buildings and utility systems with limited supervision in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key duties include inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, coordinating with vendors, and documenting work orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree Technical or Trade preferred.
• Five years of experience in one or more crafts (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, instrumentation).
• Journeyman Electrician/Plumber licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment, systems, buildings and grounds.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC and related utility systems.
• Coordinate workflow and liaise with vendors; maintain records of jobs and materials.
• Prepare and submit reports; participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Respond to outages and emergencies; ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
