Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support 24/7 facility operations, focusing on reliability, safety, and uptime of MEP systems. This role requires hands-on, multi-trade experience and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts in a healthcare environment.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, document actions, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure patient care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC or related trades.
• Experience with CMMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Respond to equipment issues and coordinate with team for solutions.
• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical tasks as needed.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of work areas.
• Provide initial HVAC response for hot/cold calls and odors.
• Document corrective actions and labor hours.
