Job summary

SEARHC in Sitka, Alaska seeks a skilled facility maintenance technician focusing on plumbing, pipefitting, mechanical repairs and related building systems. You will install, repair and maintain plumbing, boilers, HVAC, and electrical components, and may travel to outlying communities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Complete Life Safety 101 within 90 days of hire.
• Complete Lockout Tagout online course within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ years of experience in facility maintenance or related roles.
• Welding, HVAC, electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Backflow preventors inspection license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, pipefitting, mechanical repairs and related tasks.
• Maintain boilers, HVAC, pumps, chillers, and other building systems.
• Read blueprints, maps and specs; prepare remodel estimates.
• On-call rotation and travel to outlying communities.
• Maintain records of inspections and repairs.
• Safety and compliance with codes and regulations.
