Job summary

SEARHC in Sitka, Alaska seeks a Maintenance Mechanic I to support maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment across hospital facilities. You will complete preventive maintenance and work orders while assisting higher-level staff. No experience required; mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED (preferred).
No experience required; mechanical aptitude preferred.
Ability to read basic codes, standards, drawings, and OEM manuals.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on systems, equipment, and tools.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical components.
Carry out carpentry tasks and basic woodworking as assigned.
Complete work orders timely and accurately.
Operate shop tools and small engines as needed.
Assist with lock-related duties and maintenance of locks.
