Zusammenfassung

SEARHC is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Mechanic I to assist higher-level staff in maintaining equipment across hospital and health facilities in Southeast Alaska. The role requires completing work orders, preventive maintenance, and basic electrical/mechanical repairs, with travel to outlying communities as needed.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED – preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable under SEARHC policy.
• Lockout Tagout course within 90 days of hire.
• OSHA 10 competency within 90 days.
• Life safety 101 competency within 90 days.
• No experience required; mechanical aptitude preferred.

Aufgaben

• Preventive maintenance of systems, equipment, and tools.
• Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical components.
• Carpentry duties as assigned by Facility Manager.
• Complete work orders promptly and professionally.
• Operate shop tools and heavy equipment; forklift and backhoe when needed.
• Maintain grounds and parking areas; snow removal and landscaping.
