You will supervise engineers and architects, oversee complex projects, and coordinate with biomedical and procurement teams in a large healthcare system.

The role emphasizes leadership, analytical thinking, and strategic planning to ensure safe, reliable, and efficiently operated facilities across the VA network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture (ABET-accredited or equivalent) per VA standards.
• Experience with data analysis techniques for workload, quality, performance, and productivity.
• Professional licensure or eligibility (FE/PE) may be required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design of hospital and facility environments, including medical care settings and environmental control systems.
• Oversee construction in operational healthcare environments and supervision of engineering staff.
• Provide guidance across disciplines (architecture, civil, electrical, mechanical, environmental, safety).
• Mentor engineers, review plans, and advise on plans, specs, and analyses.
• Plan, implement, and supervise special projects and initiatives in engineering services.
