Job summary

ELLKAY is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to lead integration projects across HL7, XML, and JSON data formats. You will coordinate, implement, and complete complex lab interface initiatives, working with API, SFTP and TCP/IP connectivity.

Remote-friendly hybrid work options are available, with a base in our HQ as needed. The role demands strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, plus at least 3 years in project management and 2 years in application integration.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of networking and different connectivity solutions (e.g., VPN, SFTP, TCP-IP, etc.).
• Demonstrated organization and planning abilities.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to exercise effective decision-making in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Knowledge of using Postman application.
• HL7 knowledge (e.g., ORM, ORU, ADT, SIU, DFT, etc.) (preferred).
• Experience working with different data formats (e.g., HL7, XML, CSV, etc.) (preferred).
• Knowing different types of API security connectivity (preferred)
• Knowledge of healthcare data & workflow (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in application integration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure proprietary software solutions remotely.
• Oversee the successful implementation of complex lab interface projects that span across multiple software solutions in the ELLKAY product suite.
• Plan and schedule project timelines.
• Serve as primary point of contact for all project communication.
• Ensure effective handoff for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain accurate documentation for each project.
• Perform other technical duties as required.
