Job summary

Vālenz Health® is seeking a Senior Analyst to transform medical and pharmacy claims into actionable data products that support pricing, quality, and compliance tools. You’ll resolve data issues, respond to client inquiries, and improve analytics workflows using SQL and Python in a fast-paced team.

Remote work is available from the United States; you’ll partner with Data Engineering and Analytics to deliver secure, high-quality extracts and insights that drive decision-making and efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 7+ years of data analysis experience, including 3+ years with healthcare claims data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify trends and root causes.
• Excellent attention to detail with data validation and quality assurance focus.
• Highly organized, self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities across teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical and pharmacy claims to develop data products supporting pricing, quality, and compliance tools.
• Apply models and queries to resolve data issues and improve internal analytics workflows.
• Transform datasets into actionable insights using SQL, Python, Spark, and Databricks.
• Own development and outbound pharmacy data extracts for multiple vendors via SFTP and secure transfer.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to design and deploy complex code and workflows.
• Investigate ad hoc inquiries and provide data-driven responses across departments.
