Mathematica, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Data Analytics Developer to advance big-data research in health care policy. The role is remote-eligible and involves building scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms such as Databricks on AWS/GCP/Azure.

You will lead data engineering efforts, ensure data quality, mentor junior developers, and translate complex findings for researchers and policy teams. A strong background in health care data and 5+ years of programming is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of in-depth programming experience in a professional or academic environment.
• Programming with Python, SQL, SAS, R, or Stata; experience with data pipelines and analytics on cloud platforms.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to guide teams and translate technical findings for researchers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of scalable data pipelines and analysis systems using Medicare/ Medicaid data and surveys.
• Provide solutions for data processing optimization on cloud platforms.
• Ensure data quality with rigorous quality control across processing stages.
• Mentor junior developers and potentially lead small teams.
