Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of programming experience in a professional/academic setting.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, SAS, R, or Stata; data pipelining in the cloud favored.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Databricks, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable data pipelines and analysis systems using Medicare/claims data and survey data to answer health policy questions.
• Provide solutions for data processing optimization on cloud platforms.
• Ensure data quality with rigorous quality controls throughout processing.
• Iteratively inform requirements and communicate findings to researchers.
• Mentor junior developers and potentially lead small teams.
